Here’s what’s happening for the rest of April with Troop 166!

Cat and Mouse Camp Out started April off with wild weather and great fun. So much more to come this month — plenty of opportunities for service hours, camping, and even more fun… see below!

Saturday, April 9, 9 am. COSI submarine exhibit ribbon-cutting
Open to all scouts; those who donated time to work on the exhibit are especially encouraged to attend. Class A uniform. Meet by the submarine exhibit at COSI at 9 am. See Mr. Almstedt for details (nik@sentekcorp.com)

Saturday, April 9, 11 am – 1 pm. Friends of Bexley Library service hours opportunity: set up book sale

The Friends of the Bexley Public Library are looking for assistance to help with setting up and then tearing down the spring library book sale.

They need assistance on Saturday, April 9 to set up the sale from 11 AM to 1 pm.  All volunteers are welcome to take two books for each hour they work.

Scouts, please wear this year’s Class “B” Scout tee shirt.

Sunday, April 17, 4 pm – 6 pm. Friends of Bexley Library service hours opportunity: tear down book sale

The Friends of the Bexley Public Library are looking for assistance to help with setting up and then tearing down the spring library book sale.

Monday, April 18, 7:30 – 9 pm. Scout meeting @ church, and Troop Committee Meeting
We will use Monday’s meeting to build rockets for the coming weekend’s campout (see below), so please sign up to enable us to plan to purchase the right number of rockets.
Friday, April 22, 6 pm – Sunday, April 24, noon. Rockets Camp Out

Join us for a weekend of fun at our Rockets campout at camp falling rock!

Scouts will enjoy building and firing off model rockets as part of this campout.

Meet at the Church at 6 pm. Travel to and from the campout in Class A uniform. Price $30 will include the cost of a rocket to launch.

Saturday, April 23, 10 am – 5 pm (open drop in). Money Smart scout program at Bexley Library

Announcement: kids and families are invited to stop by anytime for fun activities that will help them become “money smart.” Complete them all and receive a Money Smart button! An alternative to the rockets campout, this activity is open to any families that decide not to go on the campout and is also suitable for younger siblings — no scout affiliation required!

Monday, April 25, 7:30 – 9 pm. Scout meeting @ church and Board of Review (At the Board of Review Scouts who are ready to earn their next rank meet with a committee of uniformed adults to review their accomplishments)
